Big Foot Camper Hire

Booking Deposit
A deposit fee is required once a booking has been made and the hirer will be invoiced for that deposit amount. All deposits are non-refundable for cancellations.
Hirers Responsibilities
The hirer warrants he/she is 25 years or older with a valid Australian Drivers Licence.

Deposits
A booking deposit of $300 is required to confirm a booking. If a booking is cancelled less than 30 days prior to agreed hire period, the full deposit is forfeited by the hirer. If a booking is cancelled 30 days or more prior to the hire period, the deposit will be refunded less $50 booking fee.

Booking Period
All equipment is booked on a 24 hour basis. If equipment is booked for pickup at 10.00am, it is then due for return by 10.00am on the day of return.
Trailer Condition
All hire trailers and equipment will be in clean and working order on pick up. The hirer agrees to return all trailers and equipment in the same condition.

Pickup and Delivery
Pickups and return times are by arrangement with Big Foot Camper Hire. A late fee of $100 will apply if all hire goods are returned outside of these times without authorisation.

Travel Restrictions
In the interests of safety, Big Foot Camper Hire can be driven on all recognised tracks however restrictions apply to areas consisting of the Simpson Desert, Canning Stock Route or tracks that have been closed by Local Authorities. The hirer should check with local Shires prior to travel.

Unauthorised use of the Trailer and Repossession
Big Foot Camper Hire may take possession of the trailer/vehicle or other equipment without prior demand and at the hirer’s expense if it is illegally parked, used in violation of the law or of this agreement or if it is apparently abandoned.
The hirer agrees to, under any circumstances whatsoever, allow Big Foot Camper Hire or it’s representative to enter the hirers premises, or premises where the trailer or other hire equipment has been parked, left or abandoned by the hirer or anyone in the company of the hirer in order for Big Foot Trailer Campers to repossess it’s assets subject to the hire.
The hirer agrees that during the rental period the trailer and other hire equipment will be:
Used or operated in a cautious prudent and normal manner
Not be used or operated by a person under the influence of alcohol or drugs or with a blood alcohol limit in excess of that permitted by law.
Used to carry volatile liquids, gases, explosives or other corrosive or inflammable material except within it’s designed capabilities.

Bond
A $1,000 cash/EFT is required prior to pickup of the camper trailer and other hire items. This Bond covers incidentals such as, but not limited to, damage of the trailer, canvas or other hire items, tyre damage and cleaning costs if necessary. Replacement costs for lost or damaged items will be recovered from this Bond.

Bond Refund
The bond will be refunded within 7 business days either by cheque/internet banking transfer from the time the equipment has been returned to the satisfaction of Big Foot Camper Hire provided that all equipment hired is undamaged and LP gas bottles are returned full. Should any repair work and /or cleaning be required, the costs shall be deducted from the bond. Repairs will include broken zips, tears or burns to the canvas and any damage to the trailer.

Cleaning
Big Foot Trailer Campers reserves the right to withhold from the bond a cleaning fee if the trailer or equipment is not returned in what Big Foot Camper Hire deems a suitably clean condition, this includes where considered necessary treatment for apparent strong odours, such as cigarette or tobacco smoke, fish etc. The Cleaning Fee is based on an hourly rate of $80.00 per hour.
Marks on the canvas are to be wiped off with a cloth and warm water only (no cleaning chemicals are to be used on the canvas as this may damage the waterproofing properties of the canvas). No abrasive cleaners or cloths/sponges are to be used on any of the non-stainless steel finishes.

Repairs and damage to the equipment
If the trailer or other equipment is returned damaged or inoperable the hirer agrees to pay Big Foot Camper Hire the reasonable cost of repair or replacement in the event that an item is not repairable or not cost effective to repair.All damages to our equipment whilst in possession of the hirer must be reported immediately to the management of Big Foot Camper Hire.Repairs to all damages to the camper are to be undertaken only as authorised by management of Big Foot Camper Hire using qualified service personnel approved by Big Foot Camper Hire. All costs for repairs required as a result of damage while on hire shall be paid for by the hirer.

Insurance
A $1500.00 excess is payable by the hirer in the event of damage or loss through a motor vehicle accident/fire/theft of trailer and or appendages (including immersion in water). Excess reductions are available to reduce this excess amount in the event of damage or loss. Please refer to our website or contact us for details of our excess Reduction Products. Any items to be replaced and or cost of repairs, Big Foot Camper Hire will accept payments in cash, EFT or Credit Card.

Identification and Age Requirement
Big Foot Camper Hire requires at it’s discretion two forms of identification prior to the hiring of the equipment with one form of ID showing a photograph (i.e. Drivers Licence or Passport). Also required is the hirers current residential address and contact details for next of kin. Unless by previous arrangement the driver of the towing vehicle is to be 25 years of age or older and no older than 80 years of age and hold a valid non-probationary drivers licence appropriate for the towing vehicle being driven.

Authorised Late Returns
Authorised late returns will, at the discretion of Big Foot Camper Hire, be charged at a half the daily rate for less than four (4) hours late and anything over four hours late will be charged at a full daily rate.

Early Returns
There are no refunds, partial or otherwise, and no future credit accrued as a result of early return of the camper trailer or any other hire equipment .

Damages and Liability
The hirer and all parties using any of the hire items with or without the express permission of the hirer, also indemnifies Big Foot Camper Hire and any related parties with respect to any and all costs, damages or injuries (including such damages and injuries to third parties) incurred through the use, misuse or accident arising from the use, misuse of any of the trailer/vehicles or other hire products whether by negligence of Big Foot Camper Hire or otherwise. The company gives no express or implied warranty as to any matter whatsoever including without limitation the condition of the trailer/vehicle and equipment merchantability or fitness for any particular purpose or use The hirer and all parties using any of the hire items whether with or without the express permission of the hirer, also indemnifies Big Foot Camper Hire and any related parties with respect to any and all costs, damages or injuries incurred through items left in the trailer/vehicle or hire equipment which are received, handled or stored by Big Foot Camper Hire before, during or after the hire period whether by negligence or otherwise.
